Osaka Free Walking Tour

How does the tip-based tour work?

The Osaka Free Walking Tour is tip-based and has no fixed price. At the end of the tour, you may choose to tip your guide based on your experience. Tipping is entirely optional, and the amount is up to you.

 

Does the tour include food tastings?

No. Food tastings are not included in the Osaka Free Walking Tour. The tour includes a break and free time at Kuromon Market, where you can explore the stalls and buy food or other items at your own expense. Feel free to ask your guide for recommendations.

 

Can children join the tour?

Yes. Children of all ages can join, as long as they are accompanied and supervised by a parent or guardian throughout the tour. Children aged 15 and under do not need to be included in the participant count when booking.

 

Is the tour wheelchair accessible?

No. Parts of the standard route include stairs, so the Osaka Free Walking Tour is not wheelchair accessible. If you use a wheelchair and would like to join a tour, please book a private tour so we can discuss a suitable route with you in advance.

 

Can I join the tour with a stroller?

Yes. You can join the tour with a stroller, but parts of the route include stairs. Please be prepared to carry the stroller yourself on the stairs.

 

Can large groups join the free tour?

The free walking tour accepts groups of up to five people. Groups of more than five people must book a private tour. Travel agencies and organized tour groups must also book a private tour, regardless of group size.

 

Does the tour run in the rain?

Yes. The tour runs in the rain. If Osaka Localized needs to cancel the tour, we will notify you at the email address used for your booking.

 

What should I do if I’m late or can’t find the guide?

Please arrive at least five minutes before the scheduled start time. The tour departs on time, and we cannot wait for late arrivals. At the meeting point, look for a guide holding a sign with the Osaka Localized logo and a tour flag. We strongly recommend using the Google Maps location shown on this page to confirm the exact meeting point in advance. Please do not rely on WhatsApp if you are late or cannot find the group. The guide may not be able to respond to individual messages while assisting other guests, and Osaka Localized does not contact late arrivals.

 

How do I cancel or change my booking?

Use “Manage Booking” in your confirmation or day-before reminder email, or email info@osakalocalized.com, to cancel or reschedule your booking. If you can no longer join, please cancel as soon as possible. No cancellation or no-show fees apply to free tours.

To change the number of participants, cancel your existing booking and make a new reservation with the correct group size.
